Frequently Asked Questions

How long does carpet cleaning take?

Most of the time goes into drying the carpet — this cannot be sped up.

• Rag rugs are ready in 3 business days (€10.00/m²)

• Standard carpets are ready in 8 business days (€11.00/m²)

• Very dirty carpets may take 1–2 days longer

How much will my carpet cleaning cost?

To find out the cost, we have built a carpet calculator on our website — enter your carpet dimensions and the calculator will compute the price. Price depends on carpet type and area. Minimum charge is the 1 m² price. Maximum size we can clean is 3 m × 3 m.

Do you offer carpet transport?

Yes, our courier picks up your carpet and brings it back after cleaning. Order the courier through our order form.

How should I prepare my carpet before bringing it in?

Before drop-off, the carpet should be cleaned of larger debris and vacuumed. Then roll up the carpet and secure it with string or masking tape.

Can all stains be removed from a carpet?

Not all stains can be removed, especially if the stain is old, set-in, or has damaged the fiber. Stains are always more visible on a clean carpet than on a dirty one — that's physics.

I got my carpet back and there are still dog hairs on it.

Not all animal hair can be fully removed from carpet fibers. Carpet cleaning does not include picking hairs out one by one from between the fibers — that's manual labor, not machine washing.

My cat peed on the carpet and it smells — can you fix it?

Urine, pet, mould, or moisture-related odors may intensify or partially remain during cleaning. After cleaning, it's a good idea to leave the carpet outdoors to air out — on a terrace or balcony. The odor fades over time, but we cannot guarantee complete removal.

Which carpets do you not clean?

We do not clean silk, silk-blend, or viscose carpets with glued backing — the risk to the carpet is too high. We also only clean carpets up to 3 m × 3 m.

What can happen during carpet cleaning?

Carpets may bleed color, shrink, fringe, threads may break (especially on older rag rugs), and the bottom edge of glued-backed carpets may come loose. All details are listed in our service terms — please read before ordering.

Pesupanda OÜ Terms of Service for Carpet Cleaning

Please read carefully before handing over your carpet for cleaning

Before bringing a carpet for cleaning, we ask the Client to read the important information below. This helps avoid misunderstandings and enables Pesupanda OÜ to provide the service as correctly as possible and with the best possible result.

Important condition or information
Explanation
The carpet must be cleaned of debris beforehand
Carpets brought in for cleaning must be cleared of larger debris and vacuumed before handover.
Maximum cleanable size
Pesupanda OÜ can clean carpets with a maximum size of 3 m × 3 m. The possibility of cleaning larger carpets must be agreed separately in advance.
Minimum cleaning fee
A minimum fee based on the 1 m² price applies to carpet cleaning. If the carpet’s actual measurements are below 1 m², the service fee is still calculated as the price of 1 m².
Correct information about stains must be provided
To achieve the best cleaning result, it is important that the Client provides as accurate and truthful information as possible about how the stains occurred. Incorrect or incomplete information may affect the cleaning result.
Not all stains may be removed
Although Pesupanda OÜ uses the best available technology and suitable working methods when providing the service, it cannot be guaranteed that all stains will be completely removed from the item.

These Terms of Service describe the usual risks, limitations, and possible results related to carpet cleaning. When cleaning carpets, it is not always possible to predict or fully guarantee the final result, as the behaviour of a carpet during the cleaning process depends on its material, construction, age, degree of use, previous maintenance, soiling, and possible hidden damage.

By handing over a carpet for cleaning, the Client confirms that they have read and understood these terms and accepts that the service is provided 100% at the Client’s responsibility and risk. Pesupanda OÜ cannot guarantee the complete removal of all stains, odours, pet hair, or other damage.

1. General terms applicable to all carpet types

When cleaning carpets, it must be taken into account that all stains, unpleasant odours, and pet hair may not be completely removed during the cleaning process. Some stains may be related to permanent fibre damage, colour change, previous chemical treatment, or long-term soiling. Odours, especially those related to urine and pets, may also temporarily intensify during cleaning or partially remain after cleaning.

During the cleaning process, hidden defects may become visible that could not be noticed upon acceptance of the soiled carpet. Such defects may include, for example, light burn marks, mechanical damage, worn areas, yarn damage, tears, colour changes, or the consequences of previous cleaning attempts. Existing stains and damage may become more visually noticeable on a cleaned carpet because general dirt is removed and the contrast with damaged areas increases.

Possible risk or characteristic
Explanation
Incomplete stain removal
Not all stains can be removed, especially if the stain is old, ingrained, or has damaged the fibre.
Odours remaining or intensifying
Odours related to urine, pets, mould, or moisture may intensify during cleaning or remain partially present.
Pet hair remaining
It may not be possible to completely remove all pet hair from within the carpet fibres.
Colour bleeding or colour change
The carpet may bleed colour or change shade during cleaning, especially if the dyes are not sufficiently fixed.
Hidden defects becoming visible
Cleaning may reveal damage that could not be identified on the soiled carpet.
Effects of previous cleaning
Previous cleaning or cleaning attempts may cause marks, colour changes, or other visible traces.
Effect of coloured candle wax
Wax from coloured candles may cause permanent staining of the carpet.
Mould stains
Mould stains and related colour changes may not be removed.
Damage to edges and fringes
Carpet edges may fray, and white fringes may remain greyish or yellowish. Fringes that have become brittle may come off during cleaning.
Detachment of glued parts
Glued backing edges or joins may come loose during cleaning, especially in the case of dry cleaning.

2. Additional risks depending on carpet type

Different types of carpets may behave differently during cleaning. The main additional risks that the Client must take into account according to the carpet’s material and construction are described below.

2.1. Thin wool, cotton, and other natural-material carpets, and rag rugs

Thin wool, cotton, and other natural-material carpets, as well as rag rugs, may shrink during cleaning. The edges of the carpet may begin to curl or twist, and the carpet may lose its original shape.

If the carpet’s threads, joins, or edges have previously been damaged or become brittle through use, they may tear during cleaning. The connecting threads of cotton carpets may break in washing if they have weakened during use.

2.2. Narma double-sided woven carpets

Thin wool, cotton, and other natural-material carpets, as well as rag rugs, may shrink during cleaning. The edges of the carpet may begin to curl or twist, and the carpet may lose its original shape.

2.3. Adhesive-backed, tufted, and shag carpets

The cleaning risk is higher for adhesive-backed, tufted, and shag carpets because the carpet’s construction depends on the adhesive and the stability of the backing material. During cleaning, the adhesive backing may come loose partially or completely, especially at the edges of the carpet. The carpet may lose its shape, begin to ripple, or become uneven.

The backing adhesive may dissolve, crumble, or continue to shed even after cleaning. When the adhesive dissolves, an odour may develop, and it may take a long time for this odour to disappear. The adhesive may also come out from between the fabric fibres, leave marks, or cause dark stains.

Interwoven shag yarns may begin to unravel at the ends. On high-pile carpets, it may not be possible to fully clean the surface underneath the pile. On wool carpets with an adhesive backing, visible ring marks may remain after stain removal due to the backing adhesive dissolving or shifting. Viscose elements on an adhesive-backed carpet may become hard or discolour depending on the colour of the backing adhesive.

2.4. Rubber-backed carpets

On rubber-backed carpets, a rubber backing that has become brittle during use may crack during cleaning and come off partially or completely. This risk is greater for older carpets, carpets that have been exposed to moisture, or heavily worn carpets.

2.5. Wool carpets and wool carpets with viscose elements

On wool carpets, faded marks, yellowish stains, or other colour changes may appear on light-coloured areas and may not be removed during cleaning. Viscose elements may become hard, yellowish, or uneven in tone during cleaning.

2.6. Leather and fur carpets

When cleaning leather and fur carpets, risks arising from the nature of the material may occur. If the leather surface has become hard over time, it may crack during cleaning. It may not be possible to remove matting or pilling of the hairs, and fur may change shade as a result of cleaning.

Yellowing may not be removed from white furs. During cleaning, hidden defects may become visible, furs may shrink, and glued joins may come loose. Adhesive becoming visible may leave dark stains on the surface of the leather or fur.

3. Carpets that Pesupanda OÜ does not clean

Pesupanda OÜ does not clean silk, silk-blend, or adhesive-backed viscose carpets. The risk involved in cleaning such carpets is very high, and the cleaning process may cause irreversible damage, including colour change, deformation, hardening of fibres, or disintegration of the construction.

4. Limitations of the cleaning result

The Client understands and accepts that the result of carpet cleaning cannot be fully predicted. Pesupanda OÜ performs cleaning according to the condition, material, and nature of the service, but is not responsible for risks arising from the carpet’s material, construction, wear, previous cleaning, hidden defects, or previous damage.

The removal of all stains, odours, and hair cannot be guaranteed. If the carpet is heavily soiled, has not been cleaned for a long time, is damaged, has been exposed to moisture, or has previously been treated with unsuitable products, the final result may be limited even with professional cleaning.

5. Cleaning fee

The carpet cleaning service includes a one-time cleaning fee. The cleaning fee is charged for the provision of the service and does not depend on whether all stains, odours, hair, or other damage can be completely removed. If necessary, additional cleaning or special treatment may be agreed separately.

6. Client’s confirmation

By handing over a carpet for cleaning, the Client confirms that they are aware of the risks and limitations related to carpet cleaning and agrees to these Terms of Service. The Client confirms that they understand that the result of carpet cleaning cannot be guaranteed and that the service is provided at the Client’s responsibility and risk.

Important disclaimer: It is not possible to guarantee that all stains, unpleasant odours and animal hair can be removed.
